Meet the Makers at Riverdale Country School

Josh Merrow is Riverdale’s Coordinator of Creativity and head of the Maker program. He teaches in the Art, Science, World Language and Computer Science departments.

Jason Ruff, a major contributor to the Maker program, created the CNC Mammoth project and co-founded the Lindy 500. He started the school’s Graphic Design program and teaches Sculpture, Design Lab, and other high school classes in the Art department. Check out his instagram @ruffmadeyoufamous. Jason also teaches in the Maker Knowmad summer program.

 

Dr. Monica Murakami co-teaches Design Engineering, a hands-on survey of various engineering fields explored through the lens of creative projects, with Josh Merrow. She also teaches Biology and Chemistry.

Tracy Smith teaches Middle School Design and is Riverdale’s Middle and Upper School Library Coordinator. She also teaches in the Maker Knowmad summer program.

Dr. Cristian Baidal co-teaches Innovación y Diseño, a real-world design and engineering course taught entirely in Spanish, with Josh Merrow. He also teaches Spanish and French.
